The deep blue of the mid-war US Navy. Sea Blue was one of the colours in the graded camouflage scheme worn by US Navy and Marine Corps carrier aircraft from January 1943 into 1944 — the darkest tone in the tri-colour scheme that graced Hellcats, Avengers and Dauntlesses at the height of the Pacific carrier war.
