The Story

The sandy upper tone of the Luftwaffe's desert war. RLM 79 was introduced around spring 1941 for the upper surfaces of German aircraft in North Africa and the Mediterranean, and it also appeared on tropical-finished machines sent to the Eastern Front. Over an RLM 78 underside, it's the colour that says Afrika Korps airpower.
