The Story

One of the dark upper-surface greens of the early Luftwaffe splinter scheme. RLM 70 camouflaged the tops of German fighters from 1937, Bf 110s from 1938, and bomber, attack, recon and transport aircraft into late 1944 — and it was the standard colour for propeller blades right through the war. A staple for early-war German aircraft.
