The Story

The pale underside blue of RAF desert warbirds. RAF Azure Blue was the lower-surface colour in the RAF Desert Scheme, worn from late 1941 into 1944–45, and it also turned up beneath aircraft flying with RAF South-East Asia Command. If you're doing a Desert Air Force Spitfire, Hurricane or Kittyhawk, this is the colour under the wings.
